Agent Framework Developer

About the role

Build the frameworks and tools that tens of thousands of developers use to create AI agents. You'll work on LangGraph, LangSmith, and the core LangChain libraries — shaping the developer experience for the entire agent ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new agent primitives in LangGraph
• Build developer tools for debugging and monitoring agent workflows
• Write documentation, tutorials, and example applications
• Engage with the open-source community — triage issues, review PRs, gather feedback
• Collaborate with the research team on novel agent architectures

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• Fluency in both TypeScript and Python
• Experience building developer tools, SDKs, or open-source libraries
• Deep understanding of LLM capabilities, prompting patterns, and agent design
• Strong technical writing skills
